Star Wars Rating: Skywalker. Sunrise “on Rotten Tomatoes froze in less than a week after the premiere

One of the world’s most popular review aggregators, Rotten Tomatoes froze the rating of Star Wars: Skywalker. Sunrise”. The user of Reddit drew attention to this with the nickname THAT_LMAO_GUY.

The author claims that the rating of the film – 86 out of 100% – did not change for several days, although the number of reviews increased from 6 to 47 thousand. The reasons for the incident are not known reliably, however, at the time of writing, the Reddit moderators deleted the original post.

One of the users suggested that the service could freeze the rating, because the final box office of the film can greatly depend on it. Reddit also noted that Rotten Tomatoes’ CEO Paul Janover had been Disney’s top manager for 16 years.

World Premiere of Star Wars: Skywalker. Sunrise “took place on December 16, in Russia – December 19. At Kinopoisk, he scored only 6.2 points – this is the worst rating for a franchise. Previously, the title belonged to The Last Jedi with a score of 6.7 points. The film’s rating on IMDB was 7 points (out of 10), and on Metacritic – 54 points (out of 100).
