Actress Hannah Karin Blanque Bayer, a Danish by birth, was born in Copenhagen in 1940. At home, she sang in a cabaret and worked as a fashion model. In 1958, she moved to Paris and, on the advice of Coco Chanel, took the pseudonym Anna Karina.

Anna Karina starred in the films of Luchino Visconti, Rainer Fassbinder, Marta Mesaroche, Agnes Varda. Nevertheless, Godard’s films such as “Live Your Own Life”, “Alphaville”, “Mad Pierrot” brought her wide popularity.
