Google has unveiled the annual edition of the “Year in Search” collection dedicated to the main characters, trends and events of 2019 based on search queries. The central theme of the global video was “Search for Heroes”: according to the company, users found heroes in athletes, characters in films about ordinary people around.

According to Google, the main movie of the year was Avengers: Finale, TV shows the finale of Game of Thrones, the person of the year was American football player Antonio Brown, and rapper Lil Nas X won the song of the year.

The Russian Google summed up its results. Fires in Siberia became the first theme of the video version of “Years in Search”, but they did not get into the top events. The video also showed the popular Russian application FaceApp , one of the filters of which “ages” the face, “ I / We ” actions , which became a symbol of protests in Russia, the successful landing of the Ural Airlines liner on a corn field, a flash mob Bottle Cap Challenge and a story with a thick cat Victor, whom Aeroflot did not let into the cabin because of the advantage.
