The Americans spent $ 7.4 billion online on Black Friday purchases. This time, store sales again set a record, an increase of $ 1.2 billion compared to 2018. This is stated in an Adobe study.

According to the company, the most popular products were themed toys for Frozen 2, LOL Surprise and Paw Patrol. The best-selling in the gaming segment were FIFA 20, Madden 20 and the Nintendo Switch console. And among electronics, most of the money spent on laptops Apple, AirPods and Samsung TV.

Almost half of all US sales on Black Friday came from smartphones. 2.9 billion dollars worth of goods were purchased through applications – 21% more than a year earlier. As noted in Engadget, this growth can be explained by the fact that redesigned websites and applications have made shopping more convenient, and in conjunction with Apple Pay or Google Pay, spending money has become easier.

At the same time, the average check on Black Friday rose to a record $ 168 (about 10.8 thousand rubles), and the largest online retailers showed themselves best – they accounted for 61% of all mobile traffic on the day of sales and 66% of conversion from browsers . In 2019, Americans began to be 43% more likely to order goods with the possibility of self-delivery.

Adobe analytics is based on tracking 80 of the 100 largest US retailers. It covers 55 million terminals and accounts for a billion transactions during the holiday season.
