Xiaomi introduced the “smart” watch Mi Watch with support for LTE, GPS and eSIM. They work on Android Wear with a proprietary MIUI Watch shell.
The watch supports more than 40 Chinese applications that were developed specifically for Mi Watch. Among them are TikTok, Nio, QQ Messenger and others. Xiaomi XiaoAI voice assistant is also integrated in the device.
Externally, the watch turned out to be very similar to the Apple Watch. To the right of the Mi Watch is also the Digital Crown wheel, and below it the power button. On each side there is one microphone, a heart rate sensor at the bottom, and a screen with smooth edges at the top.
Mi Watch is the first “smart” watch on the Snapdragon Wear 3100 4G processor. The device received a 570 mAh battery, Xiaomi claims that this is enough for 36 hours on a single charge.
In addition to 4G, the Mi Watch has support for GPS, WiFi, Bluetooth, NFC (only for payments in China) and heart rate tracking. The watch can also measure the level of oxygen in the blood, track sleep and energy expenditure by the body. Xiaomi claims that it will be possible to swim in the watch – it is protected from water.
Sales of Mi Watch will start in China on November 11 at a price of 1299 yuan (about 11 thousand rubles). A more premium version of stainless steel with sapphire crystal and a metal strap will cost 1999 yuan (about 18 thousand rubles) and will be available in December 2019.
