Former members of The Beatles Paul McCartney and Ringo Starr will record a cover version of a song written by John Lennon in his last year, reports Guardian.
The song Grow Old with Me was written in 1980 when Lennon worked on the Double Fantasy album. Starr admitted that upon hearing the demo, which he did not know existed before, he came to the conclusion that the song deserves a professional recording.
The recording will include a line from the song of the fourth member of The Beatles, George Harrison, Here Comes The Sun. “So in a sense, there will be four of us,” said Starr. Grow Old with Me will be released in October.
Paul McCartney and Ringo Starr are the last live members of The Beatles. They reunited several times to record songs, including in 2017 when Starr recorded his album Give More Love.
