Porn studio bought a forum where they deanonymized porn actresses. And exponentially burned hard drives with all the data

Bang Bros decided to protect the girls whose names and other personal information were published on the PornWikiLeaks website.

American porn studio Bang Bros announced the purchase of PornWikiLeaks – a forum where they posted personal information about porn actors and porn actresses, including real names, addresses and relatives’ data. After that, the company immediately closed the site, and at the same time exponentially destroyed the hard drives with information about deanonymization.

The site PornWikiLeaks was launched in 2010, but the network became widely known about it only after a year. In March 2011, the forum appeared real names and personal data of more than 12 thousand actors and actresses. All information was taken from the stolen and merged database of the California clinic AIM Medical Associates, where representatives of the porn industry were checked for sexually transmitted diseases.

Many actors and actresses take pseudonyms for fear of criticism and harassment in real life. Former Christian actor told Salon: “They published my real name, real names and photos of my parents, their home address and phone number, name, photo and phone number of my brother.” At the same time, he emphasized that the vast majority of deanons on PornWikiLeaks are specifically women.

Gradually, the database began to be finalized by the users themselves. The Daily Beast noted that appeals to relatives of actresses and reports about their work appeared on some pages of the site. According to The New York Times, on PornWikiLeaks published data not only professional actresses, but also participants in castings, who were promised that the videos with them “will never get on the Internet.”

As a result, Bang Bros studio bought the forum and immediately closed it. When you go to the site , a disclaimer appears .

For too long, this site has been a place of accumulation of hatred, lies and private data. Many of us have revealed real names. Some published phone numbers and family information. We did not voluntarily provide this information. She was stolen.

Enough with us. We bought the site and deleted all the data. There is no catch. Closing the site will not remove the received data from the entire Internet, but it will become at least one less place. A forum for 300,000 posts, many of which were hate-ridden, is no more.

Nothing but this disclaimer will ever appear here. So if your data was here – you can no longer worry. So we want to make the Internet a little better for all of us.

The studio also published a video with an indicative burning of hard drives with personal data.

Dozens of porn actresses and porn actors supported the Bang Bros action.

THANKS YOU. I will never forget that fear when, after the first shootings, I found out that there appeared information about my family that supported my choice. They received threats.

I appreciate you! Understanding that the data about me was published there haunted me every day. Just thanks thank you thank you
