Alibaba founder Jack Ma predicted a 12-hour shift. Previously, he defended a schedule of 12 hours a day.

He believes that technology development will not lead to job cuts. And people need more time to relax.

Jack Ma, founder of Alibaba, a Chinese corporation, believes that in the future, people will be able to switch to a 12-hour work week. He stated this at an international conference on the development of artificial intelligence in Shanghai, speaking with Ilon Mask.

According to him, in the next 20-30 years, life expectancy due to biotechnology will increase to 100-200 years. Ma believes that during this time, national governments should be engaged in the reform of the education system, otherwise the “problems will begin.” Changes, in his opinion, are needed so that in the future people could find work that would take three days a week, four hours a day. An ideal educational system should make people more creative. Elon Musk supported Ma and said that now education gives low productivity, the learning process itself is slow, and lectures are ineffective.

Alibaba founder believes that technology development will give people more time to enjoy the joys of life.

I think that artificial intelligence will give people more time to enjoy what they are people. I do not think that in the future the volume of work will increase. We need to create more jobs to make people happier. We must live and enjoy other people.

Ma cited electricity as an example of technological development. “His strength is that it gives people more free time to attend karaoke or dance parties in the evenings,” explained the founder of Alibaba.

Users of Chinese social networks were outraged by Ma’s statement, because earlier he defended the work schedule from 9 am to 9 pm 6 days a week, which was widespread in Chinese companies, and called it a “great blessing” for young people. “If you do not work in this mode when you are young, then when will you still have such an opportunity?” Said Ma.
