Twitch began promoting other people’s content and porn through the Ninja private channel. Previously, the streamer went to a competitor service

Ninja was indignant, and in social networks they urged to switch to Mixer, where the streamer went. Twitch apologized and called it an “experiment with recommendations.”

Streamer Ninja (real name Tyler Blevins) complained that recommendations from other channels appeared on his inactive Twitch account. On one of them, they broadcast porn with a name in Russian “Minecraft is my life!” They supported the streamer in social networks, and the site management was accused of not complying with its own rules.

On August 1, Ninja switched from Twitch to Mixer, the Microsoft streaming platform, where he scored a million followers in 5 days. The amount of the contract is unknown, but the streamers estimated the cost of the contract at 6-8 million dollars a year. In his Twitter account, Blevins said that the transition between the platforms was “as competent and super professional as possible”, but noted that in the last couple of days his team “has been slowing down some actions [from Twitch]. It was annoying, but it didn’t really matter. ”

After the transition, Twitch removed the verification from the Blevins account. The service’s management also added a personal die to the header of his channel with the text “The streamer you are looking for is in another castle” (“Streamer you are looking for in another castle”), which simultaneously refers to Super Mario Bros. and Ninja’s transition to the Mixer competitive site.

Disappointed and sorry

Twitch began recommending on the Ninja channel “another popular Fortnite content” – porn was on the list of regular game streams. Blevins said that this broadcast was in first place among all the recommendations. At the same time, on channels of other streamers that left the service, Twitch did not recommend anyone else’s content or porn. Ninja could not select or delete streams that appeared on his page.

Before leaving, Ninja used Twitch for 8 years – during which time he gained 14 million subscribers. Streamer regrets what happened because the children could see porn. Two hours after the publication of the Blevins video, Twitch removed all the recommendations from the channel and removed the personal dice.

Soon, Twitch CEO Emmett Shear commented on the situation. On his twitter, he personally apologized to Blevins and explained that the company “experimented with recommendations on the entire platform, including inactive streamer channels.” Sheer said that they stopped the experiment on the platform and “started checking the content that falls into the recommendations.” The channel with the porn broadcast “forever blocked .”

Many streamers using Twitch supported Blevins and suggested that soon everyone would switch to Mixer.

YouTube blogger Jack Sepctic Eye: “They’re really immature. Glad you did something about it. ”

FaZe Clan streamer Sway: “Apparently everyone will switch to Mixer”

Streamer Dakotaz: “Big oh from me”

Streamer Cloakzy: “Ouch”

Streamer Cohh Carnage: “Incredible. Dude, I’m sorry you had to face this. Twitch clearly says that they are just a platform. That we deal with our own content that is in no way related to them. And then they use your name for the sake of views – they want to get everything at once. I’m sorry, it’s just mean. ”

Twitter users accused Emmett Sheer and the entire leadership of the platform of inconsistency and incompetence. Many were surprised why no one noticed a porn stream in two hours.

You guys are not just lazy and inconsistent with your platform. If I’m banned for this, then let me. You need to make a reshuffle in the team. This is more than unprofessional. Porn was on the site for more than 2 hours. How did it happen? Who are you hiring?

I just have to ask you as the CEO – aren’t you ashamed? Not because of today, but in general. Does nothing bother you? Do you close your eyes to the truth that lies right in front of you? I’m sincerely interested in what you think about the platform.

No one cares that you use the Ninja channel to advertise other streamers. The problem is that you allowed more than two hours to stream porn on the site. You were so hurt that he left that you tried to joke on his channel that he was now “in another castle”

Users also began to recall old scandals to Twitch’s director, for example, with streamer Alinity Divine, who grabbed and threw her cat on the floor, which prevented her broadcast. PETA employees accused the girl of animal cruelty and complained to her about the administration of the platform, but her channel was never blocked.

What about Alinity? She threw her cat, spat in vodka in his mouth and said the word “N”. So whatooooooo?

Why hasn’t the cat-thrower been banned yet?

1. Throwing a cat and drinking a cat with alcohol is a cruelty to animals. 2. Cheat views – nothing has been done. 3. Porn under the former brand of your channel – nothing has been done. And much more

Soon, users launched the hashtag #TwitchIsOverParty , where they criticized the platform, indicated a lack of control over the site and accused the leadership of not fulfilling their own rules.

Seriously, Ninja left with Twitch, and they were so offended that they not only turned his channel into an advertising one, but also recommended porn there.
At the same time, Alinity throws his cat, gives him vodka, uses the word “H” and nothing happens.
What.
Behind.
Garbage

Recommend porn on the Ninja page, let Alinity and Amouranth act on the brakes, because they have connections with the administration. Maybe you should finally follow your own rules instead of pretending to be following them. Twitch is trash

I want to make sure everyone knows that Twitch is acting pretty nasty after leaving Ninja.
It seems like they are doing this all for the sake of money (a few people from the manual).
I ask streamers to do the same as Ninja

Twitch advertised porn for two straight hours on the homepage.
Just a laughing stock, not a platform.

Has your child watched Fortnite tabbed porn?
Well, we won’t really apologize, let people continue to rage

This is not the first time they broadcast porn on Twitch – in mid-June, an organized group of users launched streams of porn and shooting in New Zealand in an unpopular section with the game Artifact.
