Manufacturer MediaTek announced a new line of flagship processors. It consists of two models – Helio G90 and G90T. Both versions have eight cores with a frequency of up to 2.05 GHz.
The chips use the ARM Cortex-A76 and A55 cores, like the latest Qualcomm and Huawei processors. Also, MediaTek solutions are equipped with a graphics accelerator Mali G76 with a frequency of 800 MHz. Models support up to 10 GB of LPDDR4x RAM.
These are the first MediaTek chips that are focused on gaming devices. They use HyperEngine technology, which should be useful in demanding games, including multiplayer. For example, with a slow Wi-Fi smartphone will be able to use the consumption of traffic through LTE in order to increase speed.
It is not yet known in which smartphones the G90 and G90T will debut.
