For the sensation of “living on the edge and beyond.”
Istanbul architectural studio Hayri Atak has developed a project of a boutique hotel, which is supposed to be located on the edge of a cliff above the Norwegian fjord. The building should include a glass pool, as if hanging over a void.
Lysefjord, where the authors of the project would like to build their hotel, is one of the most famous tourist sites in Norway and annually attracts thousands of travelers. The founder of the studio, Hayri Atak, saw the rock in the pictures of his friend, who visited this region, and set about the idea of ”living on the edge and beyond.”
The hotel has nine apartments and a shared lounge, as well as balconies with fjord views. The authors of the project would like to make the pool completely glassy so that the person floating in it feels “in a non-gravitational environment”.
