The doctor who treated the head of the FBK after the attack with the green in 2017, admitted that someone had inflicted damage on an “unknown chemical”.
The founder of the Anti-Corruption Foundation, Alexei Navalny, was in a Moscow hospital on the morning of July 28, where he was taken out of arrest with a diagnosis of acute allergic reaction. The convoy expelled from the chamber of the attending physicians a politician who does not work in this institution.
But they examined the patient through the door, doubted the official verdict of the doctors and allowed the action of “unspecified chemicals” with the participation of “third parties”. After that, supporters of Navalny and journalists gathered near the hospital – many of them were detained.
The official diagnosis is allergy. Close Navalny said that he had never had it
On July 28, Navalny was taken from a special reception area by ambulance to the VV Hospital. Vinogradov. The politician is serving 30 days for re-violating the rules of the rally – July 20, he called for the release of the uncoordinated action on July 27, and also wrote about it on Facebook.
Navalny was hospitalized with a diagnosis of acute allergic reaction. She was in a strong edema of the face and redness of the skin, clarified his spokesman Cyrus Yarmish. To the ward of politics they put the police. “The source of the allergic reaction is not determined. Throughout his life, Alexey had never experienced an allergic reaction.”- stressed Yarmysh.
Olga Mikhailova, a lawyer of Navalny, questioned the official diagnosis . She also noticed that a politician had never experienced an allergy in 43 years of life. “There were five other people in the cell with him, they ate and drank the same thing, everything is fine with them”, – noted Mikhailova. According to the lawyer, they let her in to Navalny’s chamber only after the scandal: “They opened the door and overheard it. Scandal again. The door was closed. ”
However, an allergic reaction may appear for the first time at any age, stressed the BBC Russian service. A companion of Navalny, Leonid Volkov, noted that he was sitting in the same special receiver and then also ran into health problems. In his opinion , in the situation with Navalny, “there is hardly a place for conspiracy,” but there is reason to check the place of serving arrest for unsanitary conditions.
The treating doctors of Navalny were not allowed into his room. They did not rule out that the policy poisoned
Supporters of Navalny noticed that the position of the head physician of the Vinogradov Hospital was held by Olga Sharapova, a deputy of the Moscow City Duma. This information is confirmed on the website of the institution. Mikhailova wrote that Sharapova represents United Russia, but she was formally elected in 2014 as a self-nominee. As Vedomosti wrote , in the elections, United Russia really supported Sharapova. After Navalny’s hospitalization, she told Open Media that she was not a member of any party.According to the head physician, the politician was brought to her hospital, because she is the closest to the detention center.: “No one agreed with me on this issue.” Sharapova is now on vacation and will come out of it on July 29.
In the second half of July 28, Navalny’s physicians tried to visit him for a long time — an ophthalmologist, Anastasia Vasilyeva, and a therapist, Yaroslav Ashikhmin. Vasilyeva, including, was treating politics from a burned eye surface in 2017, when he was poured green. “We wanted to help our colleagues to provide medical assistance to Alexey faster and more efficiently,” said Vasilyeva. She stressed that the situation is complicated by the absence of an ophthalmology department in the hospital.
According to Vasilyeva, the convoy “literally right away” escorted her and Ashikhmin from the chamber under the pretext of a ban on consulting outside doctors. However, Navalny’s treating doctors still examined him through the door, collecting complaints and anamnesis. The politician has no allergies and never had, he ate the same food with all the prisoners, did not use new perfume or personal care products, they confirmed.
The diagnosis of Navalny according to Vasilyeva: “Severe edema and sharp hyperemia of the upper and lower eyelids, the periorbital region (around the eyes), purulent discharge from the right conjunctival cavity, severe itching. Multiple papuleznye rashes on the skin of the neck, back, chest, elbows of the arms. Clinically, complaints and symptoms correspond to acute toxic kerato-conjunctivitis and dermatitis, and general intoxication (lesions of the skin of the body). “
Vasilyeva noted that “she cannot exclude toxic damage to the skin and mucous membranes by an unknown chemical substance with the help of a certain“ third person ””. The treating physicians of Navalny recommended a chemical examination of bed linen, as well as taking scrapings from the skin, examining the patient’s hair and arranging for him to be monitored by an ophthalmologist.
On the night of July 29, the doctor of the therapeutic department, Eldar Kazakhmedov, stated that a urticaria was diagnosed for the politician. According to him, Navalny was also examined by the main immunologist-allergologist in Moscow and came to the conclusion that “contact dermatitis in the face and angioedema of the paraorbital region” led to edemas and rashes.
“The indicators are absolutely stable, he feels much better than when he entered,” said the doctor of the therapeutic department and added that Navalny may be discharged on July 29.
