Microsoft began testing Internet Explorer 11 mode for the Edge browser on the Chromium engine. The mode is aimed primarily at corporate clients and is required when visiting sites that are optimized for work in IE. This decision is dictated by the convenience for users who do not have to switch between browsers if necessary.
Also in the test build some additional functions are implemented: support for group policies, increasing the security of reading PDF files. Gradually, Microsoft Edge will receive additional features that will “roll” over the next few weeks.
In June, we recall, Microsoft released the Microsoft Edge browser version on the Chromium engine for Windows 7 and 8 operating systems. When the final version of Chromium Edge is released, it is not specified.
