The Russian government has approved a plan for the transfer of holidays in 2020. In the New Year the Russians will rest only 8 days – from 1 to 8 January. This is reportedon the website of the Cabinet.
January 4 and 5, which fell on Saturday and Sunday, were postponed to May 4 and 5, respectively. At the same time, in 2019, the Russians will have two days less rest in the New Year: in 2018, the weekend began on December 30th.
In addition, non-working days will be February 22-24, from March 7-9, from 1-5, as well as May 9-11, June 12-14 and November 4. The year ends with a working day on December 31.
