Xiaomi has published an Apple Memoji ad with singer Khalid to promote its own similar Mimoji function. The video was posted on the page of the Mi CC9 smartphone on the JD and Suning marketplaces. This was noticed by one of the users of the social network Weibo.

Xiaomi spokesman Xu Jiyun called the situation “an accident.” According to him, the company’s employees uploaded the “wrong content” to the sites. At the time of this writing, Apple video was removed from the sites.

Xiaomi introduced Mimoji on July 2. The function is almost exactly the same as Apple Memoji, which allows you to use 3D avatars and customize them, and the technology name is distinguished by one letter.

The Chinese company is not the first time for Apple. In 2018, Xiaomi released theMi8, similar to the iPhone X, and at the beginning of 2019 introduced headphones that look like AirPods.
