At the airport in Nizhneangarsk, an An-24 passenger aircraft of the Angara airline company made an emergency landing. Two crew members died, seven were injured. Interfax reported this with reference to the press service of the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs for Buryatia.
A spokesman for the head of the Republic of Buryatia, Alexei Fishev, told RIA Novosti that the An-24 aircraft had left the runway, crashed into the building of sewage treatment plants and caught fire.

According to the Interfax source, the commander and flight mechanic of the aircraft were killed: “The crew helped save passengers. The commander to the last did not leave the board. It was no longer possible to save him. ”
The Rosaviation said that after landing seven people were hospitalized with moderate wounds. There were a total of 43 passengers on board, among them one child. 21 people asked for medical help, the victims received minor abrasions and cuts.
According to the press service of the head of the Republic of Buryatia, on June 27, the An-24 flew from Nizhneangarsk to Ulan-Ude. After takeoff, one of the engines failed. The crew decided to return to the airport.
The East-Siberian Investigation Department of Transport has opened a criminal case on violation of flight safety rules, which resulted in the death of people through negligence. The Interstate Aviation Committee and the Territorial Administration of the Federal Air Transport Agency will also be investigating.
