The founder of cryptocurrency Tron and the owner of the torrent tracker BitTorrent 29-year-old Justin Sun won the charity auction for the right to dine with the American billionaire Warren Buffett. His rate of 4.57 million dollars was a record. About this Chinese businessman said on his Twitter.

Sun also announced that he would invite the leaders of the blockchain industry to meet with the “titan of investment”. “I hope that this will be of benefit to everyone,” the winner added.

The charity auction for lunch with Buffett ended on eBay on May 31, but until that moment the name of the winner was not known.

According to Bloomberg, the annual auction raises money for the charitable organization The Glide Foundation in San Francisco, which was previously supported by the late spouse of Warren Buffet. Since 2000, an American businessman has been working with a foundation that collects funds to help homeless people and also offers help to victims of domestic violence. During this time, the fund has collected more than 30 million dollars. This year the rate was about 38% higher than in 2018 – 3.3 million dollars.

In 2019, Buffett took the third place in the global ranking of Forbes billionaires with a fortune of 82.5 billion dollars. He conceded to Amazon founder Jeff Bezos and Microsoft founder Bill Gates.
