Apple Introduces MacOS Catalina with iPad Support

The company took the first serious steps to combine the two systems.

Apple introduced macOS 10.15, which was called Catalina. In it, iTunes was dividedinto three separate applications and added support for iPad applications.

Now developers can transfer programs written for tablets to laptops. To do this, they will have to use the Apple Xcode tool. The function is called Project

According to Apple’s senior vice president of software development, Craig Federigi, the system will add the interface itself. Thanks to the support of iPad applications on macOS, Twitter will be officially back: the service team said that “in a matter of days” redid the iOS version on the desktop.

Catalina also introduced the SideCar feature, which was discussed in the leaks. It allows you to use your iPad as a second screen or graphics tablet.

The new version of the Apple system has increased protection against theft. The stolen device can now be blocked even from a reboot.

On the MacBooks, the Find My application will appear through which you can search for devices, including those that are not connected to the Internet. To do this, Apple smartphones and laptops will constantly transmit a secure signal via Bluetooth, and other devices will be able to “see” it in the area of operation.
