The actor is negotiating a solo film about the most popular superhero in history.
Actor Robert Pattinson, known for the Twilight franchise, is in talks about the role of Batman in the film Matt Reeves, which will be released on June 25, 2021. This was reported by Variety with reference to the sources.
According to the publication, the deal is not yet completed, but the candidacy of Pattinson is considered a priority. Preparing for the Warner Bros. and DC Comics starts in summer. It’s not known when the shooting will start, but most likely at the end of 2019 or at the beginning of 2020.
If the 32-year-old Pattinson is approved, he will become the youngest performer of the role of Batman on the big screen. Studios declined to comment on Variety information.
Deadline also notes that the negotiations about the performer of the role of Batman have not yet been completed. However, the publication emphasizes that the short-list also includes Nicholas Holt (Mad Max, Tolkien), Army Hammer (Call me with your name) and Aaron Taylor-Johnson (Kick-Ass).
In February, Ben Affleck confirmed that he would not return to the role of Batman. He played the role of superhero in the films “Batman vs. Superman” and “Justice League.”
