KFC has updated the image of Colonel Sanders – this is a young virtual model for Instagram

The comments wonder why the aged mascot was made so “sexy”, and they don’t know how to treat it.

Photos from Instagram KFC

Colonel Sanders is a restaurateur and creator of the KFC fast food chain. Due to the fact that his stylized portrait is placed on all institutions and all products of the company, he became a recognizable mascot along with Ronald Macdonald. Sanders looks like a white-haired businessman wearing a white suit.

On April 9, KFC presented a new look for Colonel Sanders – a virtual model that looks younger and is wearing a white shirt. Like other virtual models , it is drawn as realistic as possible and replaces the current infuenser for the Instagram account.

The new Sanders outwardly resembles how it is customary to depict hipsters – with a beard and glasses. A phrase was tattooed on its side: “The secret recipe for success” is a reference to the KFC marketing built on the “secret” recipe for cooking chicken wings.

In the photographs, the young colonel is portrayed as a classic influeensor for social networks: at a meeting on work, in the kitchen for cooking and in nature. And in the signatures they use phrases that are usually put under the motivational posts on Instagram: Sanders says that he does not forget to cook in the kitchen, that he relies on the team and that he does not lose “contact with nature.”

#ad Another big meeting with the best people in the business and the best drink in the business, @DrPepper. I always surround myself with the best people so I can figure out and overcome challenges. Like how to engage with millennials. Did you know they like experiences more than ownership? What a world. When we uncover important new facts with our research, there’s no problem my team and I can’t overcome. Especially when we have ice-cold Dr Pepper to keep us going. Always surround yourself with the best people. That’s a huge part of the #secretrecipeforsuccess. #boardmeeting #business #grinding #meeting #friedchicken #friedchickentattoo #drpepper #imapepper #advice #success #entrepeneur #behindthecurtain #keys #respect #inspiration #positive #positivethoughts #artistatwork #virtualcolonel

I may be a restaurant mogul and international inspiration, but I’m still just a kid who loves being in the kitchen. #humble It’s important never to lose sight of the things that make you who you are. For me, it’s being in the kitchen and making amazing fried chicken. That’s what got me here, and I never want to lose that young and hungry Colonel who spent all his time perfecting fried chicken. I’m still that kid who straps on an apron and makes fried chicken. And I’ll never lose that part of me. Never lose the things that make you who you are. This is part of my #secretrecipeforsuccess. #candid #candidkitchen #colonelskitchen #humble #friedchicken #advice #success #entrepreneur #behindthecurtain #keys #respect #inspiration #positive #positivethoughts #artistatwork #majorkey #cookingram #cooking

Virtual Sanders has a “girlfriend” – Degni, who also has her own account.

Users reacted ambiguously: someone joked that now Sanders is “very sexy”, and someone called the new look of the famous mascot not the best idea.

Stop making Colonel Sanders hot, please. I’m alarmed.

Why do you look like a twenty and seventy at the same time

I work at KFC and does this mean that something will change here?@mistermuerte

Innovation or death. KFC chose innovation. It is a pity that some people in the comments do not understand this. This is a business.

As noted by the publication Eater, the virtual assistant will advertise the products of two brands at once – Old Spice and TurboTax – they belong to the same Wieden & Kennedy advertising agency. At the same time, young Sanders has already advertised Dr. Pepper.
