Perhaps this is due to the strengthening of control by the tax service.
The number of individual entrepreneurs (IP) in Russia for the first time exceeded the number of legal entities. It is reported by RBC with reference to the materials of theagency “Federal Information Service” (VIF).
As of April 2, slightly more than four million individual entrepreneurs were registered in Russia, and companies – 3.98 million. As reported by RBC head of the VIF, Anatoly Globin, the statistics is based on information from the non-state service Gosreestr. According to him, the data is formed with “the highest possible degree of accuracy.”
The chairman of the executive committee of the Russian Union of Taxpayers, Artyom Kiryanov, believes that “there are actually more IP workers in reality than there are existing organizations.” According to him, over the past few years, the tax service has seriously increased control and risk analysis due to digitalization, and unscrupulous entrepreneurs have no reason to use one-day firms.
