Trump has announced a ban on flights of aircraft Boeing 737 Max 8 in the US

The United States was one of the countries that did not abandon the aircraft after the crash in Ethiopia.

US President Donald Trump announced the ban on flights of Boeing 737 MAX 8 and MAX 9 liners after a crash in Ethiopia, the Associated Press and New York Times report .

After Trump’s announcement, Boeing shares went down.

After the crash in Ethiopia, several countries refused to use the Boeing 737 , including the EU countries, Australia, the United Kingdom, Egypt and Thailand. At the moment, Canada is the only country that has announced a waiver of bans on the use of the liner.

Ethiopian Airlines’ Boeing 737 crashed in Ethiopia on March 10 – all 157 people died on board. This is the second crash with the aircraft of this model: in 2018 after the crash of the Boeing 737 Max 8 in Indonesia, all 188 people died.

On March 13, the media reported that Russia would not impose a ban on flights of Boeing 737 Max 8 aircraft over its territory, but S7 is the only company in the fleet of which these aircraft have already suspended their operation.
