Architecture: Starbucks of 29 freight containers

This is one of 45 container coffee houses in different countries of the world.

Renowned Japanese architect Kengo Kuma used 29 cargo containers to create Starbucks coffee shop in Taiwan. The containers, made up in a multi-storey structure, were painted white and cut out full-sized and roof windows in them. The total area of the institution is 320 square meters.

It turned out several separate booths, each of which has its own design. Some are lined with wood.

On the first floor there is a window through which drivers can buy coffee without leaving the car.

Transport containers are increasingly used around the world as a universal and ready architectural element. Of them, for example, the hotel Quadrum in the mountains of Georgia or the apartment building Drivelines Studios in Johannesburg in South Africa is assembled .
