High ceilings, columns and chic chandeliers – a supermarket located in the building of the former Soviet House of Culture in Orsk.
February 20 Members’ YaPlakal ” drew attention to the unusual supermarket in the city of Orsk (Orenburg region). The Magnit chain rented an area for its store in the Machine-building House of Culture, built in 1956. Since Soviet times, there were columns, decorations, balconies and luxurious chandeliers. For this “Magnet” was called “the most beautiful supermarket in Russia”.
The store appeared in the building of the House of Culture back in 2011. Orsky “Magnet” mentioned blogger Ilya Varlamov, talking about the “destruction of historical monuments” in the country. But until 2019 in social networks did not see how it looks from the inside.
“Magnet” is located on the site of the auditorium with 700 seats. “The network“ came in ”on the conditions that the stucco molding would not be destroyed,” the building owner told local reporters.
