Instagram added preview clips from the platform for long vertical IGTV videos to the main feed. Users can go to the full version of “one click”.
The service launched the IGTV platform in June 2018 as a separate application. Unlike the main Instagram, you can upload videos up to 10 minutes or an hour (for large channels) and only in a vertical format.
Instagram actively promoted the service inside the main application: using the button with pop-up notifications on the side of the screen, adding videos from IGTV to the recommendations feed and previews in the “Stories”. Despite this, content creators barely produce exclusive videos for the platform, and users are reluctant to watch them.
