Architecture: Residential building in an abandoned London chapel

Modern gothic.

An abandoned chapel in the south of London was rebuilt under modern private housing. The architectural studio Craftworks, which also rebuilt four neighboring buildings that previously belonged to the monastery, was responsible for the reconstruction.

The building was left its external form, completely changing the interior and equipping an additional basement.

Four bedrooms, bathrooms and a study were arranged on the ground floor, whereas almost the entire space of the former chapel turned into an open-plan kitchen and dining room.
