The President of Game Insight, a gaming company, Maxim Donskikh, in a Twitter-thread format, spoke about his semi-annual experience with Tesla Model X in Russia.

He listed the main problems associated with the lack of official support for Tesla in the country. Donskoy also noted the lack of Supercharger charging stations – there is only one in Russia, while the company Ilona Mask promises to install five more in the future. The President of Game Insight did not forget about the advantages: he called the Model X the best car in his life.

According to Avtostat, in the first half of 2018, sales of Tesla cars in Russia grew by 50%. But they still buy a little: from January to June 2018 purchased 27 cars (of which 16 – in Moscow). For the whole 2017, 62 Tesla cars were sold in Russia .

In 2017, 48 Model X crossovers and 14 Model S sedans were sold in Russia. Sales growth was achieved solely due to increased interest in crossovers, Autostat noted: a year ago only 19 Model X cars out of all 39 cars were sold on the Russian market Tesla.

Of the 62 Tesla electric cars delivered to Russia in 2017, 36 are registered in Moscow and 11 in the Moscow region. Another six cars registered in St. Petersburg, three – in Tatarstan and two – in the Rostov region. One car was sent to the Primorsky and Khabarovsk Territories, as well as the Voronezh and Tver regions.

In total , 95 new electric cars were sold in Russia in 2017, which is 28% more than in 2016. The leader was Tesla, followed by Nissan Leaf and Renault Twizy.
