Three dollars per megapixel.
Xiaomi introduced Redmi Note 7 – the first smartphone of the company under a separate brand Redmi. The device received a camera with a resolution of 48 megapixels and will cost only $ 150 (about 10 thousand rubles).
Redmi Note 7 runs on a Snapdragon 660 processor, is equipped with a 6.3-inch 19.5: 9 FullHD screen and a 4000 mAh battery. The smartphone is charging via USB-C, it also has a 3.5 mm audio jack, but no NFC module.
On the back of Redmi Note 7 is a dual camera. The main one takes a resolution of 48 Mp and is equipped with a f / 1.8 aperture lens, and the second one at 5 Mp is used to obtain information about the depth of the scene.
With good lighting, the smartphone shoots at full resolution, and in bad conditions it combines adjacent pixels to reduce noise. It is noted that artificial intelligence is built into Redmi Note 7, which should help in shooting. In addition, the smartphone has a 13 megapixel selfie camera.
On January 4, Xiaomi announced that the Redmi brand now operates independently of the parent company. Redmi Note 7 was the first device of the new brand, on its back cover was placed a new logo «Redmi by Xiaomi».
Smartphone sales will begin in China at a price of 999 yuan (about $ 150 or 10 thousand rubles) for the minimum version with 32 GB of memory and 3 GB of RAM. The maximum version will cost about $ 200 (13 thousand rubles).
Redmi Note 7 is not the first smartphone with a 48-megapixel camera, which was announced recently. Also in early January, Honor, a subsidiary of Huawei, introduced the Honor View 20, but it costs three times as much as the new items from Xiaomi.
