In Saqqara, not far from Cairo, archaeologists discovered an intact tomb, which, according to preliminary data, belonged to a high-ranking cleric named Vataje. According to the Secretary General of the Supreme Council of Antiquities of Egypt, Mustafa Vaziri, this is the only discovery of its kind in recent decades.

The excavations will begin on December 16, but experts have already found statues of pharaohs and colored murals depicting the priest himself, his mother, wife and other relatives.
