How to set up an ECG application
1 . Make sure you have installed watchOS 5.1.2 on Apple Watch and iOS 12.1.1 on iPhone.
On the iPhone, this can be done in the Settings – Basic – Software Update section . For Apple Watch, the verification is done through the Watch application pre-installed on iPhone: Settings – Basic – Update O.
And yes. You must be at least 22 years old to use an ECG .
2 . Open the Watch app and select the Heart section.
3 . Select Set up ECG in the Health app and follow the on-screen instructions.
4 . Now the ECG application will appear on the Apple Watch desktop. Here is the corresponding icon:
How to use the ECG application
1 . Open the ECG application that appears on the clock.
2 . Make sure your watch is snug against your wrist. But do not push it.
3. Place your hands on a straight surface and relax them. Hold the Digital Crown wheel with your index finger (do not press it) for 30 seconds.
4 . Wait for the timer to complete and remove your finger.
Important to know : Apple Watch does not know how to detect a heart attack, stroke or other pathologies. Read more here .
How to share the result with a doctor
To share data with the doctor, go to the Health app .
It has Electrocardiogram (ECG) , select Export PDF for the doctor . And specify the mail to which you want to send the results.
