Creating a super-heavy rocket to fly around the moon will cost Russia $ 22 billion

“Roskosmos” estimated the project to create a super-heavy rocket and an unmanned flyby of the moon at 1.5 trillion Russian rubles, RIA Novosti reports , citing sources in the rocket and space industry. It is noted that a manned flight over a natural satellite of the Earth is planned and planned, however, additional funds will be required for this.

The shape of the rocket will be determined at a meeting of the Scientific and Technical Council of Roskosmos next week, December 18. Experts intend to determine the main and two additional options.

According to RIA Novosti, the project of super-heavy carrier developed by RCC Progress with six side blocks based on the Soyuz-5 rocket, the RSC Energia project with five side blocks based on the Soyuz-5, and also project to restore the production of the Soviet energy rocket.
