It is going to be built in Qatar for the World Cup 2022.
For the World Cup 2022 in Doha, they plan to build a stadium for 40,000 seats from modified cargo containers. The design can be disassembled and transported to another place after the end of the championship.
The project was developed by Fenwick Iribarren Architects, and its co-founder Mark Fenwick is convinced that an innovative building can inspire stadium architects and designers around the world, as it combines aesthetic appeal and practicality.
In addition, the use of cargo containers as building blocks will reduce the amount of building materials required. This also reduces the carbon footprint of the stadium and the amount of waste left after construction.
