But the device has two cameras in the back, and the main screen is completely frameless.
Vivo introduced the version of the flagship smartphone Nex with a dual screen. The device does not have a selfie camera, and the second display is proposed to be used as a touchpad for games.
Behind the device there are two cameras on 12 and 2MP. In addition, there is a lens for the 3D face scan module, with which the back screen can be unlocked by the face.
There is a “ring” around the camera that works as a notification indicator. It can change colors and, for example, help when shooting in low light conditions. Also, the “ring” works like a light music: it pulsates when listening to songs.
The size of the main screen is 6.4 inches with a resolution of 2340×1080 pixels. The display on the back is slightly smaller due to the camera module — 5.5 inches. Both screens use OLED panels with built-in fingerprint sensors.
Other features of the device include a Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 processor, 10 gigabytes of RAM, 128 gigabytes of internal memory and a 3500 mAh battery. Also, the smartphone supports fast 10-watt charging via USB-C and is equipped with a 3.5mm headphone jack.
Unlike ZTE, which announced the Nubia X with two screens at the end of October , Vivo offered its own display usage scenarios. For example, the company believes that the screen behind it is convenient to use as a touchpad during games, in order to control not two fingers, but four. In addition, it is proposed to use both displays in the “mirror” mode during photos: so that the author and the hero of the picture see the result immediately.
It is not yet known whether the new version of Nex will be sold outside of China: the presentation did not report on availability in other regions or local prices. In the Chinese market, the device will start selling from December 29 at a price of 4998 yuan (about 48 thousand rubles).
