That night the annual ceremony of The Game Awards took place – something like an Oscar in the world of video games. The best games of the outgoing year were named at the event, and at the same time they presented many new ones – including Far Cry and Mortal Kombat.
The best game in 2018 officially became an action God of War, released in the spring exclusively for the PlayStation 4. List of other winners:

The developer of iconic role-playing games Obsidian Entertainment introduced The Outer Worlds. The team chose a science-fiction setting in which travel between the planets became possible.
The brutal slasher Mortal Kombat to the eleventh numbered part will become even bloodier and tougher than before – although it would seem that much further.
