The head of OnePlus, Pete Lau, at the Tech Summit event told about the development of a smartphone supporting 5G networks, and at the same time named the expected price policy. Apparently, mobile phones with 5G will be expensive: the device will be 200-300 dollars more expensive compared to the 4G version.

Cristiano Amon, the head of Qualcomm, in an interview with The Verge not only confirmed the reality of these figures, but also noted that OnePlus is quite economical: they say, some voiced a higher increase in prices.

The debut of the first 5G smartphone from OnePlus will take place next year. The device will run on a fresh Snapdragon 855 chip. The smartphone will immediately be available to users in the UK, where the largest EE operator will soon deploy 5G networks in sixteen cities.

Huawei, Samsung, Xiaomi and other manufacturers are also working on 5G smartphones.
