The flagship smartphones of major manufacturers will support work in 5G networks in 2019. Partners of Qualcomm include ASUS, HMD, Google, HTC, Motorola, LG, OnePlus, Oppo, Samsung, Sony, Vivo, ZTE, Xiaomi and other companies. Apple is absent on this list, and, as AppleInsider notes , the American corporation is now solving problems with the former supplier of key components for 5G, Qualcomm.
The exact dates for the release of 5G smartphones will still be announced, however, manufacturers are expected to actively launch mobile phones into the market with the support of a new communication technology. However, there remains the question of the demand for such devices – the infrastructure for universal commercial use of 5G does not currently exist.
For this reason, Apple’s lag cannot be seen as a negative trend: by the time the iPhone with 5G is released, the technology will still be actively spread.
