Microsoft is preparing a new browser to replace Edge

According to the WindowsCentral resource , Microsoft is working on a new browser, code-named “Anaheim”, based on Chromium, which may be replaced by Edge.

The new web browser will replace Edge as the default browser on the Windows 10 platform. It is currently not known whether Anaheim will be replaced by Edge. The interface between Edge and Anaheim will be different.

The replacement is connected primarily with the weak popularity of the browser, as well as the EdgeHTML engine as a whole. What will happen to the section for browser extensions in the Microsoft Store and the support of the browser itself remains a mystery.
