Scientists from Malaysia conducted an experiment on the transfer of odors in the “electronic” form. The experiment involved 31 volunteers who were injected into the nose electrodes to “connect” to the neurons responsible for the perception of odors. A weak current discharge was transmitted through them, which led to the appearance of virtual smells.
The experimenters selected 10 pleasant smells that they tried to pass on to the subjects. Unfortunately, they could not control what kind of smell the test subject would feel.
Scientists believe that electrodes could be used when communicating via the Internet. For example, friends who went to nature, can tell about the rest, passing along with the smell of kebab. True, not every user agrees to install electrical devices in his nostrils.
