Apple has filed a patent application for piezoelectric sensors, which will track many of the parameters of a person during his sleep. Last year, the Cupertines acquired Beddit, which produces bedding devices with sensors, and the new patent looks like the development of the company’s ideas.
Apple’s idea is to accumulate physiological data: the phases of sleep, how often a person moves, and so on. One solution is described as a belt, and the other is a set of sensors distributed throughout the bed.
Apple pays a lot of attention to health. For example, a smart watch can recognize rhythm disturbances and other heart problems. The company also continues to develop the Health platform, which collects detailed information about the user’s physical activity.
