On November 23, users of the VK Pay payment system will be able to receive cashback from offline purchases in stores under the Chekback program. PepsiCo and Good Food became the first partners of VKontakte. This was reported by“Kommersant”.
To return the funds, users need to scan the QR code from the purchase receipt in any store. If one check fits multiple stocks, it can be used many times. The size of the cashback depends on the conditions of the shares and does not depend on the method of payment – by card or cash, explained in the press service of the social network.
“The target audience of the VKontakte service corresponds to the majority of our brands,” explained PepsiCo. The social network has planned a partnership with major Russian retailers, as well as with any business, such as cafes, clothing retailers or appliances. VKontakte takes from partners a commission for moderation of checks.
VK Pay social commerce platform launched at the end of June 2018. With it, you can buy and sell products and services in the communities of VKontakte without commission. In VKontakte apps for iOS and Android , VK Apps platform soon appeared , allowing you to shop and order food. Similar systems of offline cashback were launched by “Foodadil” (Yandex service) and 2GIS Check.
