One of the most successful Disney projects is in a live-action format.
“The Lion King” will be released in June 2019, it will be a live-action film version with live actors. In 2016, a similar film adaptation was received by the cartoon “The Jungle Book” – it collected more than 600 million dollars with a budget of 175 million.
Beyonce will play the lioness Nala, Donald Glover – Simboo, and Scarom will be voiced by Chiwetel Ejiofor. The father of the main character Simba – Mufasu – will be voiced by actor James Earl Jones, who gave voice to the same character in the original 1994 cartoon. Directed by John Favreau.
The original “The Lion King” received cult status, became one of the main successes of Disney and brought a total of nearly a billion dollars, and also received two Oscars. The picture came out three times in the rental: in the usual format, in IMAX and in IMAX 3D.
