The render showed the lunar base of the future, built using 3D printing

The European Space Agency has published images of the lunar base, the construction of which can be produced using 3D printing technology. On the renderer you can see the residential modules, as well as garages for lunar rovers and moving robotic platforms.

Currently, ESA is exploring the possibility of building a lunar base using 3D printing. This will reduce dependence on the supply of materials from the Earth, which, in turn, will reduce costs.

Theoretically, 3D printing will allow you to produce everything from building materials to clothing, tools and ingredients for food.
