Forbes magazine has compiled an annual ranking of the highest paid singers. At the end of 2018, Katy Perry took the first place – she earned 83 million dollars.

According to the newspaper, Perry’s leadership provided the Witness: The Tour world tour, during which she gave 80 concerts (she did not come to Russia) and participated as a jury member in the restart of the American Idol TV show on ABC. At the same time, the singer did not release albums this year: Witness of the same name was released in June 2017.

The second place in the Forbes ranking was taken by Taylor Swift, who earned $ 80 million over the year thanks to the Reputation album and concert tour. Swift could be the highest paid singer, but most of her tour was outside the reporting period for the magazine. In 2017, she was in third place with an income of $ 44 million.

Beyoncé ranked third with $ 60 million in revenue. She and her husband Jay-Z released the album Everything Is Love, and also conducted a world tour with him. In 2017, she won first place with 105 million dollars.
