OnePlus introduced the 6T flagship smartphone in New York with the characteristics of top-end smartphones and an affordable price. The company announced a device for the presentation, which had to be postponed a day earlier because of the Apple event on October 30.
6T is equipped with a 6.41-inch OLED-screen with a resolution of 2340 × 1080 pixels and an aspect ratio of 19.5 to 9. In the upper part there is a small “bang” built into which a selfie camera was placed.
The smartphone has become the company’s first device with a fingerprint sensor built into the screen. OnePlus has developed its own “Screen Unlock” technology. The company said that they have created the fastest entry system through the fingerprint sensor on the screen on the market – it works in 0.34 seconds.
In addition, the smartphone was equipped with a 3700 mAh battery with a proprietary fast charge function. The device runs on a Snapdragon 845 processor and Android 9.0 with the OxygenOS shell.
A 6T camera was equipped with a dual camera with a resolution of 16 and 20 Mp, respectively, and an aperture of f / 1.7 for the main lens. The camera was equipped with optical stabilization, it also features the Nightscape function for shooting in poor lighting – for poor-quality images in such conditions they scolded previous models.
In November 2017, the head of OnePlus has promised not to remove the 3.5 mm jack from the company’s devices yet. However, 6T still lost the “mini-jack.”
Smartphone sales will begin in the US and some European countries on November 1. Americans will be able to exchange their old smartphone for a new OnePlus, saving up to half the cost. OnePlus 6T will cost $ 549 in the United States in the minimum configuration, details about European prices yet.
