“Linens” Australian artist are at home and granaries.
Brisbane-born Guido Van Helten travels to different countries, creating large-scale murals on buildings. His works are in Europe, in the USA and in his native Australia.
The pictures, on which the 30-year-old artist relies in his work, he usually takes right on the spot, attracting residents of the area as models.
Obviously, I am a stranger when I come there, but I want the works to become part of this place. Go
Van Helten has been painting since he was 15, but he began to experiment with monumental style and photorealistic images only in 2013. “This is a kind of transition to the study of people through painting and photography,” the artist believes.
