Manor Van Cortland in New York has again transformed into the “magic country of Halloween.”
Every year, New York hosts the Great Jack O’Lantern Blaze – one of the most famous Halloween festivals in the world. In 2018, the festive event started on September 28 and will last until November 24.
For this period, the estate of Van Cortland was transformed by professional carvers who created over seven thousand pumpkin lamps, as well as fantastic sculptures and moving installations — like a windmill fully assembled from pumpkins on a wooden frame.
Over a thousand volunteers work at the festival, the main responsibility of which is to replace the lamps and the quickly perishable pumpkins.
we collected photos from instagram visitors of the festival.
