Began taking orders for the first flying car

Terrafugia has begun accepting orders for a two-seat Transition model, which is formally considered to be an “airplane adapted for traveling on roads”.

Officially, the cost is not announced, but according to rumors, prices start at 280 thousand dollars. A car flies with the help of a conventional internal combustion engine, and it drives a hybrid power plant on the ground. The transformation from ground mode to flight mode and vice versa takes about a minute.

Terrafugia is an American company acquired in 2017 by the Chinese auto giant Geely. Despite the fact that they are not the only ones who design flying cars, Terrafugia was the first company to start mass production and officially announced the start of sales.
