US police officers recommend not to look at the iPhone with the Face ID system

American police have received new instructions, according to which they should not look at the iPhone X and Xs – these models use the Face ID face recognition system.

It’s all about privacy: when a smartphone tries to unlock someone else five times in a row, the gadget requires you to enter a digital code — and it can be even harder to get it than in any way to convince the owner of the smartphone to look at your device to unprotect.

For example, earlier the FBI officers demanded that the owner of the iPhone X unlock the smartphone in order to study the information from the gadget. Lawyers noted that such a requirement may be illegal.
