The DeepDee project was on the shortlist of the Aspirin International Award: Social Innovation Award 2018 from Bayer Foundations. It is honored by innovators who promote innovation in society. The prize fund this year is equal to 100 thousand euros.
The startup works at the junction of medical technology and artificial intelligence. The project is dedicated to the early diagnosis of diseases using images of the fundus. The system can recognize diabetes, in the future it is planned to train algorithms for other diseases.
DeepDee appeared on the hackathon of a social project competition last year. The project was recently highlighted at the Emerging Europe Award event in the Social Impact Startup of the Year category.
Voting Aspirin will last until October 25 inclusive.
