Walmart has patented a smart shopping cart that will be able to collect real-time information about customers of its stores. With the help of a set of sensors, such a trolley receives data on the client’s heartbeat, temperature of his body, pushing efforts and speed of movement.
It is assumed that the data obtained will be instantly sent to the server, where specialized software will determine the degree of customer satisfaction by comparing the indicators with the reference ones. If the client seems to be unhappy with the system, an assistant will be sent to him to solve possible problems.
As noted by CNET, some retailers are already in full use of Bluetooth-transmitters to track the flow of customers within stores.
